SMART Motorways CASE STUDY
The challenge
A new working style to the industry
We were engaged to work with two design engineering companies who were working in a JV to deliver road projects for Highways England.
The latter was determined that the whole supply chain would work in a collaborative and innovative manner, new to the industry.
What we did
The change plan
Peaton worked as a member of the senior team to tailor our strategic approach to bringing about culture and behavioural change.
We developed a change plan which we updated on a monthly basis and we coached, trained and mentored the teams to deliver what they had promised.
The result
Collaboration, leadership & time saving
Projects were delivered on time and meetings improved in their efficacy with an 80% increase in the use of observed positive behaviours.
After behavioural observation, previously inefficient meetings now finished on time & covered the whole agenda with people taking responsibility for being fully prepared and completing their actions before the next meeting.
Greater levels of accountability were seen across the team with improved levels of leadership and direction, increased respectful challenge and collaboration.
